So a few weeks ago, I went on a bit of a beauty product binge. I didn’t mean to, it just happened! All that advertising got to me. Upside is, I honestly love all of the products I purchased.

First, yes, I am extremely pale. This is the lightest shade and it made me a bit orange in the beginning. I had to sit outside for an afternoon so I would match my makeup. But it was worth it, because this stuff is fantastic! The texture once it’s on your skin is wonderfully matte, but in a way that is still natural. And I’m trying these because I’m the sad little stick straight hair girl, but I haven’t given up yet. I will succeed in texture and volume! And actually the beach spray did give some nice volume even when I just blow dryed it straight. Still working on the sexy, just-got-out-of-bed beach hair part. This overnight serum is doing wonders for my split ends. I like to think of it as split end super glue that leaves my hair smelling like a delicious hair salon in the AM. Yay!

So there ya go, the products you should try next time you feel a binge coming on.

we’re moving!

Well it’s official! PJ and I applied and (got) our first apartment! We take possession in early June! (And since I’ll be away when we do, PJ says he’ll do the moving himself. You may now applaud. Yes, he is the best fiancé ever. In case you can’t tell I hate unpacking) I love this color palette. Definitely looking at the pale smoke and soot. Not sure fiancé will go for the pink :pVisit my pinterest pages (Decor & Home) to see my ideas for the place. I’m already thinking paint colors and PJ gave the go ahead on a chevron stripe in the living room! That ladies and gentlemen is success.

10 things you didn’t know about me:

1. I spent the first two years of my life in Germany. My dad was in the army.
2. I hate heights, but I have to test myself by always walking out to the edge.
3. I’m a huge rule breaker (much to fiance’s chagrin). But only the rules I think are pointless
4. I will quit any craft or DIY that requires an excessive amount of cutting things out. I hate scissors.
5. I sound really southern when I’m really angry or excited. Otherwise no accent to speak of.
6.  My biggest “secret” dream is to be able to sing and play an instrument in a band with my soon to be husband. Drew and Ellie Holcomb style.
7. Not closing lids after someone is done with something makes me want to smack somebody.
8. Harry Potter is my biggest sentimental memory. It’s also the thing I know the most facts about.
9. I wrote a detective novel when I was 8, but lost it somewhere.
10. I think tattoo sleeves are stupid. Except on Adam Levine.
11. Oh, and if you read the title of this post in Quirrell’s voice I’ll love you forever.

Well it happened. You guys are finally privy to extra classy iPhone office outfit photos. I know, I only give you the best. Oh well, points for effort right? I’m trying out a new makeup routine {the hardest thing for me to change by the way} and playing with a little white eyeshadow for brightening and a lighter weight foundation. You can’t tell in these photos {clearly} but I think it’s going pretty well.

I don’t know about anyone else, but I am in a serious outfit slump. I’m beyond over this drizzly cold weather, so my real desire is to wear my hot pink sweatpants and men’s sections sweater all day everyday. But since that’s not socially acceptable unless I’m at Walmart, I opted for all denim. When in doubt ladies and gents, just wear denim. {And your mom’s necklace because your clothing boredom includes jewelry}.

And last but not least! Fiancé looking very fashionable. He’s going to kill me for sneaking that picture in. Hehe
